Romanian students obtained three gold and one silver medals at the Central European Informatics Olympiadtranslated

Romanian students won three gold and one silver medals at the 2026 Central European Informatics Olympiad, held from July 5-10 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The gold medals were won by Victor Ioan Dobra, a student in the 11th grade at the "Lucian Blaga" National College in Sebeș, Rareș-Andrei Neculau, a 12th grade student at the "Vasile Alecsandri" National College in Galați, and Mihai-Valeriu Voicu, a 12th grade student at the Bucharest International Theoretical Informatics High School.
Andrei-Paul Iorgulescu, student in the 11th grade at the "Tudor Vianu" National College of Informatics in Bucharest, won the silver medal.
The Romanian team was coordinated by Mihai Nan, teaching staff at the Faculty of Automation and Computers of the National University of Science and Technology Polytechnic Bucharest, and Alexandru Lorintz, representative of the Society for Excellence and Performance in Informatics.
Computer enthusiasts The Informatics Olympiad of Central Europe is an annual competition dedicated to high school students with outstanding results in informatics.
