His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 7th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

On July 19, the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Tiraspol. The Most Reverend Vladyka, the rector of the cathedral, was co-served by the sacristan and the cathedral clergy. On this Sunday, under the arches of the main church of the diocese, numerous believers gathered to offer prayers to the Lord and partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, glorification was performed before the locally revered image of the Mother of God “Seeking the Lost” of Tiraspol. His Eminence the Bishop and the concelebrating clergy sang before the holy image the stichera of the Most Holy Theotokos “Highest of Heaven...”, which is part of the “Canon of prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos, sung in all spiritual sorrow and circumstances.” In this liturgical hymn, the Most Pure Virgin is called the “Highest of Heaven,” since She contained the Incontainable God in her womb and became more honorable than the Cherubim and more glorious than the Seraphim without comparison.
