On July 16, a meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese was chaired by Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga.

Its participants paid special attention to the development of missionary activity in the Ivanovo-Voznesensk diocese, relying on the decisions of the Bishops' Council of the Ivanovo Metropolis of June 30 of this year. Issues of implementation of the “Plan” of the main activities of the Missionary College under the Bishops’ Council of the Ivanovo Metropolis for the second half of 2026”, the activities of diocesan missionaries, and assistance to the Interdiocesan Center for Training Church Specialists of the Ivanovo Metropolis in organizing advanced training courses for diocesan missionaries and assistant deans for missionary service were considered. The attention of the council was also drawn to the development of the activities of biblical groups within the framework of the implementation of the Patriarchal program “Explore the Scriptures” on the territory of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk diocese.
