On September 1, the first meeting in the “Bible Breakfast” format was held at the “Warm Cat” cat cafe as part of the Patriarchal Bible study program. Together with the head of the missionary department of the Simbirsk diocese, the rector of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Priest Vladimir Manyakov, and the organizer of the “Biblical breakfasts” in the city of Dimitrovgrad, Melekess diocese, Kirill Vikhlyaev, the meeting participants discussed the topic “Loneliness.”

The priest and the meeting participants discussed together passages from the Holy Scriptures on the stated topic. The result of a lively and interesting discussion was the conclusion that a Christian is never alone, even if he is alone. And if he is still lonely, then this condition must be overcome by the action of love towards another person.

Bună idee formatul ăsta de mic dejun cu Biblie. Mi-a plăcut cum au legat singurătatea de „spațiu pentru întâlnirea cu Dumnezeu”, exact cum a spus și Alexandru. Și la noi în parohie ar prinde, mai ales toamna când mulți se simt mai izolați. Mulțumesc pentru inițiativă!

I think the idea of "Bible for breakfast" is very appropriate, especially since they chose the theme of loneliness. I remembered what Alexandru Kașianov said, that the wilderness is not a lack, but a place for meeting God. In our parish, in the fall, when the garden is empty and my sons are gone to their homes, many feel exactly that. Maybe we try too.
