Unfortunately, 645 million people are still hungry, that is almost 8% of the planet. Every time I cook my roasts for my daughter, I think about how lucky we are here in Heraklion to have our garden. When will something tangible finally happen about this?

Such numbers are impressive. 645 million is almost like all of Europe and Africa together. In our parish, after the liturgy, there is always bread left over, we distribute it, but this is a drop in the ocean. What exactly do these five UN agencies propose to do in practice?

We also always have bread and borscht in thermoses after the liturgy, the women give them out, but you're right - it's only a drop.
