This is why they become an example in the life of every believer who, when he wants to be Christ's, must know the Bible, be philanthropic and forgiving and of course firm in the truth of faith.

This is what the Fathers of the Church teach us, this is their example for the lives of all of us. "

Matthew BrownThe part about the Fathers knowing Scripture through prayer really hit me. I catch myself reading the Bible in a rush sometimes, like it's just another item on the list. Need to slow down and actually pray over it more, the way they did. Thanks for sharing the video.

James BennettThat part struck me too, Matthew. I remember years ago trying to read the Gospels before fishing trips at dawn — it felt rushed until I started reading one short passage out loud and then just sitting with it a minute in silence. Made the whole day different. Have you found any particular book or chapter that helps you slow down like that?
