The Holy Martyr Priest Alexander from Bessarabia was honored in the church where he served for almost 50 yearstranslated

The Holy Martyr Priest Alexander of Bessarabia was honored on Saturday in the "Saint Hierarch Nicolae" Church in Călăraşi, the place where he served for more than 50 years.

The Holy Liturgy was officiated by His Holiness Father Nectarie de Bogdania, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chisinau.

The service was attended by clerics from the Archdiocese of Chisinau and the Archdiocese of Iasi, believers from Bessarabia and Romania, representatives of local authorities and family members, including the great-grandson of Saint Alexander, who has the same name.

The hierarch showed that the testimony of Saint Alexander remains an exhortation for Christians today, called to preserve their faith and peace of soul in the face of trials.
