Handing over and receiving the duties of Protosignal in the Holy Metropolis of Arkalochoritranslated

At the Offices of the Holy Metropolis of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, on Friday 7 August 2026, the delivery and acceptance of the duties of the Proconsul of the Holy Metropolis took place. The outgoing Protosygello, His Eminence Archimandrite Mr. Epifanios Zacharakis, welcomed the new Protosygello, His Eminence Archimandrite Mr. Philotheo Pigiakis, with special joy, cordiality and brotherly love, wishing wholeheartedly every blessing and success in his new ministry, for the benefit of the local Church.

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Mr. Andreas, expressed his warm thanks to His Eminence Archimandrite Mr. Epiphanius for his valuable contribution, excellent cooperation and conscientious ministry to the Holy Metropolis and its faithful people during his term as Proto-Consignor.

At the same time, he wished the new Protosyngello, His Eminence Archimandrite Mr. Philotheos, that God would strengthen him and enlighten him in his new and responsible ministry, so that, with prudence, ecclesiastical attitude, a spirit of cooperation and love for the Church, he could serve the Holy Metropolis and its pious people worthily.
