Intersection in New York Honors Queen Marie of Romania: Plaque Inaugurated by the President of Romaniatranslated

An intersection in the vibrant city of New York received the name "The Queen Marie of Romania Corner," in honor of Queen Marie of Romania, 100 years after her arrival in the city, as part of her diplomatic tour that led to the international recognition of Romania.

At the unveiling ceremony of the plaque bearing the intersection's new name were present President Nicolae Ciucu Dan, together with First Lady Mirabela Grădinaru, Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu, presidential advisor Eugen Tomac, and Consul General of Romania in New York, Mihaela Simona Florea.

Honor Offered by a Queen "It is a great honor for me to be with you today. I would like to thank the local authorities for this honor," said President Nicolae Ciucu Dan.

"We live in an era where we no longer have many references, few value hierarchies, and few models. That is why it is important that when we have a model such as Queen Marie, we refer to her."
