Emmanouil Karalis wins silver medal in pole vault in European Athletics Championships

As in 2024 at the European Athletics Championships in Rome, Emmanouil Karalis once again won the silver medal in the pole vault at this year’s championships in Birmingham, clearing 6.00m on Sunday.

Once again, he came up against and world-record holder Swedish Armand Duplantis, who, with a clearance of 6.15m, was crowned European champion in the outdoor pole vault for the fourth time (2018 Berlin, 2022 Munich, 2024 Rome, 2026 Birmingham).

The bronze medal went to France’s Baptiste Thiery, who cleared 5.85m.
