Ierissou Theoklitos: The law of Christ is a law of order, social justice and lovetranslated

On Sunday, October 4, 2026 (2nd Luke), the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ierissou, Mount Athos and Ardameri, Mr. Theoklitos, visited the Parish of Panagia Nea Rodon and the rector of the Order of the Orthrus and the Divine Liturgy, flanked by the Pan. Chief Fr. Bartholomeos Hatzoglou, the elected and active Vicar of the Parish and High Priest Commissioner of the Region, Fr. Ephraim Tsolis and Fr. Nikodimos Kotinoudis, as well as the Deacon Fr. Seraphim Kostinoudis. As always, Nea Roda overcrowded the Holy Church, in which is treasured the famous holy icon of Panagia Skupiotissa, brought with pain, with tears and a lot of faith by the refugees of Asia Minor, that is, the roots of Romanism and the fathers and grandfathers of the current residents of the beautiful seaside town.

In his speech, His Eminence referred to the Gospel Message of the Second Sunday of Luke, which our Church characterizes as the golden rule of social and human life in general: "As you would that men should do to you, do likewise to them.", that is, "Just as you want people to treat you, do the same to them" (Luke v. 31) !
