OM.S.I.E. on the centenary of I.N. Agios Stefanos, Nea Ioniatranslated

With particular ecclesiastical magnificence and enthusiasm, the centenary of the foundation of the Holy Church of Agios Stefanos of Nea Ionia was celebrated. The solemn Divine Liturgy was presided over by Rev. Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros, co-officiating with the local pastor, Rev. Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalcedon Mr. Gabriel, and Rev. Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aegialia Mr. Ieronymos. The Chanting Presence and the "Antiphonal Member" The resurrection hymns and the hymns in honor of Agios Paisios of Agioreitos were performed by the invited choral group of the Psalter Dance "Antiphoniko Melos", under the direction of choirmaster Mr. Georgios Kamariaris.

The dance was accompanied by the distinguished lead singers: Yannis Drimalas, Antonis Kakolyris, Kyriakos Lidas, Nektarios Orfanakos and leading officials of our Federation, the President of OM.S.I.E. Mr. Georgios Niutsikos, the General Secretary Mr. Fotis Mandalos, as well as the distinguished cantor Mr. Andreas Eleftheriou, contributing decisively to the festive atmosphere.
