Theofilos of Lefkada at the celebratory Holy Church of Apostles Peter and Paul in Katomeri Meganisitranslated

On the two days of June 28 and 29, 2026, the Parish Church of Katomeri celebrated its annual festival, which is dedicated to the Chief Apostles, Peter and Paul!

On the eve - Sunday, June 28 - in the afternoon, the Great Solemn Vespers was held, with a soul-beneficial sermon and baking.

On the holy day - Monday, June 29 - in the morning, the Orthros was chanted and then the Solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy, with a divine sermon and bread offering, officiated by our Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan of Lefkada and Ithaca, Father Theofilos.

Priests and deacons of other Parishes of the Holy Metropolis collaborated, while the Mayor of Meganisi, Mr. Gerasimos Katopodis, the President of the Municipal Council, Mr. Grigorios Tsolakis, the Deputy Mayor of Education, Culture, Religious Tourism and Volunteering, Ms. Evangelia Mela, representatives of institutions and associations and several devout Christians.

The Most Reverend Metropolitan spoke for a few moments before the Dismissal and made an appropriate wish, then he distributed the antidote and sweets to the churchgoers, while a treat followed for everyone in the Archontariki of the Holy Church.
