Today, Monday June 29, 2026, the feast of the Holy First Apostles Peter and Paul, Rev. Our Metropolitan, Mr. Chrysostomos, enlightened the centuries-old St. Festival in the island of Teutlousa (Seskli), Metochiou of I. Panormitou Monastery, where an early Christian tradition of Symi preserves the passage of the Uranovamon Apostle Paul from there, probably during his 3rd Apostolic tour, between the years 53-56 AD.

At that time, it is said that the Apostle Paul, traveling by boat from Kos to Rhodes, was forced by a great sea storm to disembark for a moment on the Island of Sesklio. No written evidence of the event has been preserved, but as the Evangelist Luke notes, writing the Book of "Acts", Paul indeed passes through the neighboring islands of the southern Aegean, on a route that passes precisely through Teutlousa: "But what happened We were separated from them, and we came to Kos, thence to Rodon, and thence to Patara. (Acts 21,1).
