On the occasion of the feast of Saints Anargyros Cosmas and Damianos, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon Mr. Timotheus, on Wednesday July 1, 2026, officiated at the procession of Orthros and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Founding Church of Saints Anargyros Cosmas and Damianos of the General Hospital Karditsa. After the end of the Divine Liturgy, he addressed a speech of spiritual edification to those present, highlighting the timeless message of the life and contribution of the Saints Anargyri, who are a bright model of selfless ministry, authentic love and complete contribution to every suffering person.

The occasion for the development of his speech was the apostolic passage from the 13th chapter of the 1st Epistle to the Corinthians, where the Apostle Paul describes the characteristics of true love. He pointed out that the Saints of Anargyri did not limit themselves to the knowledge or the theoretical teaching of the virtues, but put this evangelical word into practice, daily experiencing love as a way of life and sacrificial offering.
