Cyril of Moscow: The power of God is stronger than any human powertranslated

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Kazan was visited yesterday, Monday, July 20, 2026, by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Mr. Cyril as part of his official visit to the Tartastan Metropolis. This year marks 300 years since the construction of this Cathedral, one of the most famous architectural monuments and spiritual symbols of the capital of Tatarstan. With warm words, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church was welcomed by the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan, Mr. Kyrillos, who in commemoration of the Patriarch's visit offered as a gift an icon of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

Speaking to those gathered in the church, the Patriarch of Moscow, Mr. Cyril referred to the importance of restoring the churches that were damaged during the atheistic persecution stressing that their survival was based on faith in God.

He emphasized that God's power is stronger than human power. "And the grave mistake of people who do not believe in God is that they do not rely on the power of God. You may be intelligent and educated, but your potential is limited by human potential...
