The Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene in Ano Setatranslated

In a solemn atmosphere, the memory of Saint Myroforo and Isapostolo Maria of Magdalene and Markeli of Chiopolitis was celebrated in the eponymous chapel in Ano Seta of the Municipality of Eretria. On the occasion of the holiday, the solemn vesper was celebrated and on the day of the patron saint, the solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Steward - Stavrophoros Fr. Georgios Kouseris, vicar of the parish of Tharrounia from the neighboring Holy Metropolis of Karystia and Skyros, and the Protopr Fr. Dimitrios Argyris, vicar of the parishes of Ano Vathia Upper Seta Lower Seta.

In his speech Fr. Dimitrios referred successively to the lives of the honored Saints Mary Magdalene of Myroforos and Markelis of Chiopolitidos and concluded by pointing out that the Saints are a living example for the faithful as they prove that man can reach holiness by applying the teachings of the Gospel in his life.

After the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Dimitrios thanked the concelebrant Fr. Georgios Kouseris for his participation in the celebration and at the same time wished Fr. Georgios on the 36th anniversary of his ordination as Elder by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Karystia and Skyros Mr. Seraphim.
