Metropolitan of Kilkisios: The 630 God-bearing Fathers were illuminated by the light of Christ and enlighten the worldtranslated

In the Holy Church of the Intercessor of the Lord of the mountainous settlement of Theodosia on Mount Krusia of Kilkis, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Polyani and Kilkisi, Mr. Bartholomeos, officiated on Sunday, July 19, 2026, a day on which our Holy Church honors the Holy Fathers of the Fourth Ecumenical Synod. At the same time, the memory of Saint Martyr Marini, whose graceful relic is permanently located in the Holy Church for the blessing and sanctification of the faithful, was solemnly commemorated.

The venerable Pastor of Kilkis in his sermon said the following:

Today, my dear brothers, our Church celebrates the memory of the 630 God-fearing Fathers, who convened the Fourth Ecumenical Council in Chalcedon in 451 AD. and the choice of this reading from the "Speech on the Condition" is determined by this celebratory event. With the light of the world, with a city built on a mountain that can be seen from everywhere and with a lamp burning on the lampstand, Christ compares his disciples in today's gospel reading.
