The youth brotherhood of the Spassky Monastery made a pilgrimage to the shrines of the Gomel regiontranslated

In early July, a group of youth brotherhood participants, students, their parents and teachers of the Sunday school of the Spassky Monastery made a pilgrimage to the shrines of Belarus.
The route stretched from Kobrin through Pinsk and Turov to Korma and Gomel.
Before leaving, everyone together performed a prayer service for the travelers, asking the Lord for help and protection on the road. With prayer and a joyful mood we set off on our journey.
The first stop awaited the pilgrims in ancient Pinsk. There they visited the Cathedral of the Resurrection of the Word.
The next point on the route was the ancient city of Turov. The pilgrims visited the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Lawrence of Turov, touched the history of the ancient diocese, and learned about the life and works of the Turov bishops.
In the chapel, erected in the courtyard of the cathedral, one of the stone crosses of the 10th century was also installed, which sailed against the current along the Pripyat and Dnieper during the period of the spread of the Christian faith.
