GERB will not nominate candidates for president and vice president for the elections on October 25, 2026. This decision was taken at a meeting of the party's Executive Committee today, the party's press office reported.

The motives of the commission largely overlap with those expressed in recent days by the chairman of GERB, Boyko Borisov.

Interesting decision. So Boyko Borisov’s reasons line up with the Executive Commission’s – I wonder what exactly those motives are, since the article doesn’t spell them out. Might be smarter to focus on the parliamentary elections instead.
