The Holy Provincial Synod of the Church of Crete, implementing its unanimous Decision, held in Chinos Mylopotamos in the presence of its President, Rev. Archbishop of Crete Eugenios, and of all the members of the Synodical Trisagio for the repose of the soul of Nikistratos Gemistos.

The Reverend President of the Holy Synod, addressing the family of the deceased and the multitude of people who attended, prayed that God may rest after the Saints and the righteous the late Nikestratos, who in such an unjust way left this life prematurely, and emphasized the need to contribute all together, so that the sanctity of Crete prevails against every form of violence, ferocity and self-righteousness.
