The holiday “Keeping Love” was held in Buda-Koshelevotranslated

In the parish of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the city of Buda-Koshelevo, a family holiday “Keeping Love” was held, timed to coincide with the day of remembrance of the holy faithful Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom.

The organizers of the event were the parish of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the regional organization of the ROO "Patriots of Belarus", the Uvarovichi City House of Culture and volunteers. Residents of the city and surrounding villages took part in the celebration.

The holiday began with a prayer service to the holy blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom. The service was performed by the dean of the Buda-Koshelevsky church district, Archpriest Sergius Peshko.

Addressing the participants, Archpriest Sergius Peshko noted that the memory of Saints Peter and Fevronia recalls the importance of family, fidelity and mutual support. “It is important that public associations, cultural institutions and families joined the holiday. Through common efforts we can strengthen respect for family and family traditions,” the clergyman said.

After the prayer service, a concert program was prepared for the guests. Soloists and Sunday school students sang songs about love, home and family values.
