On July 7, on the day of the Nativity of the honest, glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed a solemn service on the day of the patronal celebration of the John the Baptist Monastery in the Kalagur tract.

The Hiero-Archimandrite of the only male monastery in our diocese was concelebrated by the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Zosima (Grzhibovsky), the first assistant to the Ruling Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), the deans of the Dubossary, Slobodzeya, Rybnitsa, Bendery and Central districts of the diocese, Archpriests Georgy Lisovsky, Andrei Danilescu, Archimandrite Victor (Sayapin), Archpriests Mikhail Lungu and Sergius Verbitsky, clergy of Rybnitsa, Kamensk and Central deaneries.

Numerous parishioners of the churches of Rybnitsa and surrounding villages, as well as pilgrims who came to share the joy of the patronal feast of the monastery, prayed during the service. Many of those who prayed began to receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
