That's right. We often think that faith is something we have to embrace ourselves as some personal best, and then we fall. The Church carries us, especially when we are weak. Thanks for this reminder.

I agree with Bojana. I remember last year when I was barely recovering from an illness, and during the liturgy in the Orthodox church in Białystok, I suddenly felt that it was not me who was holding the faith, but the faith holding me. Like a net for fish that prevents them from drowning. Thank you for the reminder.

Exactly like that. It also often happens here in Yekaterinburg that after illness or fatigue you can barely stand at work, and then suddenly you realize that it is not you who are holding on, but you who are being held back.
