Visit to Glebovskaya Secondary Schooltranslated

September 4, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 2, the rector of the Kazan Church in the village of Glebovo, Archpriest Alexander Cheprasov, according to a long-standing tradition, visited the elementary department of the Glebovo secondary school. The priest sprinkled holy water on the classes and students and wished God's help in the new school year.

It's good that the tradition is alive. In Rostov, too, the priest comes to school at the beginning of the year, the children are always happy. Do you know how many first-graders there are in Glebovskaya now?

I’m glad that this tradition continues in Rostov. In Glebovskaya this year, it seems, 12 first-graders were recruited. Does your priest also sprinkle the classrooms or just talk to the kids?

I am glad that the tradition continues. In Kutaisi, Mr. often comes to the school and pours water, the children are really looking forward to it. 12 first graders in Glebovo is a good number, God help them in their studies.

It is good that the tradition does not disappear. In Odesa, too, Father comes at the beginning of September, and the children then remember the whole year how they were sprinkled. And in Glebovska, those 12 first-graders must have been really looking forward to this day.

Mariam, it's good that Kutaisi has the same tradition and children are waiting by themselves. In our Glebovo, 12 first graders are really not a lot, but each one is important. May God give them and their parents patience.

It's good that the children are waiting for themselves, Levan. In our Glebovo, 12 first graders are really few, but as you say, each one is important. May God give them patience and may everything go well this year as well.

It's good for Levan that the children are waiting by themselves, this is very important. Several parents came to our Kutaisi this year and asked when the next visit will be. May God give them and the teachers strength.
