Patriarch Daniel: Children and young people - ambassadors of the Christian faith and Romanian valuestranslated

"Wherever you are in the world, don't forget that you are called to be ambassadors of Romanian values and the Christian faith", the Blessed Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, conveyed to young Romanians around the borders and in the diaspora, in a message read on Monday, at the National Military Circle in Bucharest, on the occasion of the inauguration of the "ARC" camp program.

"At the same time, always keep the way back to Romania open, visiting it whenever you have the opportunity and cultivating lasting ties with the people and places you will get to know these days", the Patriarch of Romania also said.

The "ARC" Camps program, now in its 17th edition, is organized by the Department for Romanians Everywhere and dedicated to Romanian children and young people outside the country's borders.

Well said the Patriarch. I especially liked the exhortation to always keep the way back home open and to cultivate connections with the places here. These ARC camps are a good thing for our children in the diaspora, not to be lost altogether.
