An exhibition dedicated to the Holy Hierarch Martyr Antim Ivireanul will be opened on Friday at the Library of the Romanian Academy in Bucharest, according to a press release. The event is organized in collaboration with the Library of the Holy Synod.

The presentation, entitled "Different peoples with one Creed: the Holy Hierarch Martyr Antim Ivirean as typographer, translator and cultural unifier", will be opened starting at 12:00, in the "Theodor Pallady" Hall of the cultural institution.

Cultural heritage that unites The event aims to bring the hierarch's personality back into focus, highlighting his contribution to the development of print culture and bringing Orthodox communities closer together through books and language.

The organizers present Saint Antimus the Ivirean as a "master typographer" and a rigorous translator, but also as a personality with an important vocation to create links between different cultural and spiritual spaces.

Through his activity, the hierarch managed to bring together, "under the sign of the same Creed", the Georgian space where he was born, the Romanian Countries, Greece and the Orthodox communities of the Ottoman Empire.

I am glad that such a concrete exhibition is being held at the Academy Library. I remembered what it says there, that Antimus the Iverian linked Georgia, the Romanian Countries and Greece through prints and the same faith. I'll try to get over Friday after lunch if I finish in the kitchen to see those old books.
