Consecration for the start of maintenance work at the Holy Church of Agios Athanasios Rum Palamastranslated

On Monday, September 7, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaly, Mr. Timotheus, performed the Consecration Mass at the beginning of the restoration and maintenance works of the Holy Church of Agios Athanasios Rum Palamas. The celebration of the Consecration marked the beginning of a particularly important project for our Holy Metropolis, but also for the city of Palamas and the local community. It is a Holy Church with a special position in the heart of the city, which was seriously affected by the catastrophic floods caused by the weather phenomena "Ianos" and "Daniel", leaving their mark both on the place and on the important monuments of the area.

After the Consecration Mass, His Eminence addressed the attendees, initially expressing his thanks to all who were in the Holy Church, in order to pray and ask for God's help for the start of a project that he characterized as particularly important for the Holy Metropolis, for the place and especially for the center of the city of Palamas.
