Orthodox calendar, September 10 St. Mc. Minodora, Mitrodora and Nymphodora St. Mc. Minodora, Mitrodora and Nymphodora (+ 305) were sisters and lived during the reign of Emperor Maximian (285-305). They were born in Bithynia (Asia Minor). They retired to a hermit life on a high hill and lived their lives there in fasting and prayer.

During the persecution by the emperors Diocletian and Maximian, the governor of Bithynia, Fronton, arrested them because they refused to sacrifice to idols. Following the interrogation to which they were subjected, not wanting to renounce the Christian faith, they were subjected to numerous tortures. Saint Minodora, being beaten with rods, passed to the eternal ones.

In order to convince them to renounce the Christian faith on the saints Mitrodora and Nymphodora, the governor Fronton ordered to bring the body of their sister, as if they were afraid of apostasy. However, the holy virgins remained steadfast in their faith and, enduring many torments, received a martyr's death. At the place where the holy martyrs were buried, in the time of Saint Constantine the Great, a place of worship was built.
