Bulgaris Daniel: "Let us especially guard against hidden sins"translated

The solemn Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky was presided over by the Patriarch of Bulgaria, Mr. Daniel.  At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch Mr. Daniel greeted and blessed the faithful, emphasizing in his speech: "Let us beware of sins, and especially of those hidden sins with which we feed the passions caused by demons. Man thinks that when he achieves a fast or makes a move to take the inheritance from his relatives and friends for himself, or does some other such selfish act and wrongs others, he will be happy.

According to the words of the Patriarch Mr. Daniel, such joy is blindness, because friendship with these heavenly powers opposed to God will lead man to the difficulties that arise as a result of passions.

"Let us reflect, let us soberly examine within ourselves what our motives are, what motivates our actions and whether they contradict the evangelical commands. Let us find the strength to turn to God and give us repentance and the strength to separate ourselves from those passions that lead us to various sins",...
