The summer camp “Heirs” began its work in Smorgontranslated

July 18, 2026 · 1 min read

From July 14 to July 25, in the Smorgon deanery, the Spiritual and educational Orthodox summer tent camp “Heirs” began work for the 15th time on the shore of Lake Vishnevskoye, Smorgon region. The camp is home to 40 children from the Sunday school of the Transfiguration Cathedral and large families of the parish.

On the morning of July 14, after praying in the cathedral, Archpriest Anatoly Rezanovich and the children, having loaded everything they needed into a truck, together with teachers and parents, went by bus and cars to the camp site. The arrangement of the parking lot gave the children the opportunity to feel each other's helping hand, learn how to pitch tents, cook, care for their younger ones, and arrange their lives in nature.

The program of stay at Heirs is varied. Morning and evening prayers are heard here, and every evening the evening rule is performed with a procession of the cross around the camp. Competitions for the best drawing, crafts, quizzes, conversations with a priest around the fire, games and sports competitions, fishing, and getting to know the inhabitants of nature are organized for the children.

In the evenings, all the inhabitants of the summer camp willingly sing around the fire.
