Caritas Internationalis on Nepal: ‘We must all face the climate chaos'

Following recent flash flooding, Caritas Nepal is ramping up its aid to be able to reach up to 4,000 families. Caritas Internationalis Secretary General calls on the global community to “commit to do what is necessary to care for our common home.”

Помню, как в 2019 году после наводнения в Непале Caritas собирал помощь через наши приходы. Сейчас опять 4000 семей — это же сколько людей без крыши над головой. Хорошо, что они не сидят сложа руки, но без общей работы по климату толку мало будет.

Да, 4000 семей след наводнение е страшно много. В 2019-та пак събирахме в нашия храм за Непал, помня как носехме одеяла и пари в кутията. Добре че Caritas не стои настрана, ама наистина трябва всички да мислим как да пазим земята, иначе пак ще се повтаря.

As a pensioner, I try not to throw away anything to eat and use old clothes in the garden instead of rags. And you, as a mechanic, haven't you tried talking to customers to drive less and maintain their cars better to save money?

As a restaurant cook, I see how much food is thrown away every day, so now I make soups from the leftovers and take them to the neighbors. And you, as a mechanic, haven't you thought of collecting the old oils and filters, instead of throwing them away, and giving them for processing?
