I feel sorry for those people, almost 4500 dead is a terrible number. After three weeks they are still searching the ruins for the missing, I hope at least some families will find theirs. We keep ourselves in prayer for them.

That's a heartbreaking number, almost 4,500 dead. Three weeks later and they're still pulling through the rubble for the missing—my heart goes out to those families hoping for any word. I'll keep them in my prayers tonight.

That's a terrible toll, Samuel. Three weeks on and still digging through rubble in places like Caracas and Mérida—it's hard to imagine what those families are going through. I'll add them to my prayer list at vespers this week too.

That's a lot of lives lost, and the fact that they're still pulling people from the rubble in Mérida after three weeks is just heartbreaking. I'll remember those families at the next bible study too — our group has been praying for disaster victims every meeting lately.

That's heartbreaking about Mérida especially — my cousin's parish there lost their old church hall in the first quake. I'll add those families to my prayer list tonight too; our choir's been doing the same after rehearsals.
