"The Life and Akathist of St. Pious Philotimia from Râmeț" appeared at the Publishing House of the Biblical and Orthodox Mission Institute, being available both standard and in a small format edition.

The editorial is part of the collection "Acathetes and Lives of Saints" and brings together biographical data, liturgical texts and prayers composed in honor of the new saint.

"Remaining a widow, Filofteia directed her steps towards the Râmeț Monastery, where she found purpose and fulfillment in the monastic order alongside her son, Saint Pious Dometie the Merciful from Râmeț, and her daughter, the nun Eudoxia. On April 30, 1974, she took on the angelic face, receiving the name Filotimia", it is stated in the synaxar of the saint.

The akathist was compiled by Hieroschimonach Iosif Cișmaș and was approved by the Theological, Liturgical and Didactic Commission of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Saint Pious Philotimia from Râmeț was canonized in 2025 by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church along with 15 other women with holy lives.  The general proclamation of the canonization took place on February 6, 2026, and the local proclamation took place on June 29 at the Monastery...
