With just one year to go before 2027 World Youth Day in Seoul, its official theme song is announced: Confidite, Ego Vici Mundum, or “Take courage! I have overcome the world”.

An interesting title of the hymn is “Confidite, Ego Vici Mundum”. I immediately remember how at the last VSDM in Lisbon, many guys wore this very phrase on their T-shirts. It’s interesting how the Koreans will put it into music, we’ll see in a year.

I remember seeing those same words on T-shirts in Lisbon too. Interesting that the Koreans chose it for 2027. Wonder what their melody will sound like.

It's interesting that they took this particular phrase from Lisbon. Last year, at a youth rally in Kazan, we also had guys with these inscriptions on their T-shirts running around the field. I'm waiting to see how the Koreans put it into music, the melody will probably be completely different.

It’s interesting that all three remembered exactly those jerseys from Lisbon and even from Kazan. A couple of years ago, our choir also sang something on this topic in Latin, but the melody was very simple, almost like a psalm. Let's see what the Koreans come up with, it will probably be beautiful in an oriental way.
