Event for the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the National...translated

On the afternoon of Monday, August 3, Rev. Our Metropolitan Mr. Andreas attended and performed a trisago at the anniversary event of honor and memory, which took place at the Philippi Monofatsiou Monument, on the occasion of the completion of 85 years since the signing of the First Protocol for the start of the National Resistance against the German invaders in 1941.

The main speakers of the event were Dr. University of Ioannina, historian, author and President of the Municipal Council of Minoa Pediada Mr. Giorgos Kalogerakis and Dr. Aristomenis I. Syngelakis, Academician and Author of the National Council for Asserting Germany's Debts to Greece, who developed the historical context of the signing of the First Protocol and its importance for the start of the National Resistance in Crete.
