Rizes Publications and the Municipality of Thessaloniki present the book by Costas Venizelou and Michalis Ignatiou "GUILTY - Kissinger's order, the execution of the coup by Ioannidis and the invasion of the Turks in 1974". The event will take place on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 19:30 at the Theater of the Society of Macedonian Studies, Ethnikis Amynis 2, 546 21 Thessaloniki.

Pretty interesting topic, but 2026 seems like an error in the announcement. When the performance is in September, I will definitely go there, because I watched Cyprus 1974 on the news when I was young, and I still feel sorry for the exiled people and churches. Which of you will be there?

The year 2026 in the announcement actually looks like a typo, because the event is supposed to take place on Monday, September 7, and that doesn't fall this year. The topic of the book about Kissinger, Ioannidis and 1974 is difficult - I remember how in those days in Hajnówka we listened to Radio Free Europe about people expelled from Cyprus and destroyed Orthodox churches. I wonder what exactly the authors will say.
