Orthodox calendar, September 6 Commemoration of the miracle of Saint Michael the Archangel in Colosse Between the city of Colosse in Phrygia - an ancient historical region in the central-western part of Asia Minor (today Turkey) - and the city of Ieripoli there was a church dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel, built over a spring where many sick people came and were healed.

The holy place was built by a pagan from Laodicea, a city in Asia Minor (it was originally called Diospolis, then Roas, Antiochus II being the one who colonized it between 261 and 246 BC, giving it the name of his wife, Laodicea) converted to Christianity following a miracle of Saint Michael the Archangel.

The pagan's daughter was mute from birth, and through a wonderful vision, her father received an order in a dream from the Holy Archangel Michael to take his child to this spring to be healed. By obeying the order of the holy archangel, his daughter received healing, and he received Christian baptism.

After 90 years from the construction of the holy place, a 10-year-old child from Ieripoli called Archip came there. He remained in the church, fasting and praying like the great hermits of the hermits.

At the right time, he became a monk, deserving himself...
