Good to see the tradition continue in the cathedral. My niece starts her final year at the Minsk theological academy next week – prayers like this always set the right tone before the books come out.

My son starts second grade next week, so this hits home. Nice to hear the molyben was at the Holy Spirit cathedral again – same place we visited on our trip to Minsk a couple summers back. Matthew, tell your niece good luck with her final year at the academy.

Our youngest starts third grade this year too, so I know exactly what you mean. Glad the cathedral felt familiar from your visit – that iconostasis really sticks with you. Tell Matthew I said hi when you see him at coffee hour.

That's wonderful about your niece finishing up at the academy. Our oldest starts his second year at the seminary in Dallas this fall, and we always make a point of getting to the moleben too – it really does help settle the mind before the heavy reading kicks in. What subject is she focusing on this last year?

Our youngest is starting kindergarten this fall, so we're doing the same prayer routine at home. That iconostasis does stay with you — I still picture the particular blue tones on the Archangel Michael panel. Tell Matthew hi back from me too.

My niece is wrapping up her theology track at the academy, mostly focusing on patristics this year. That's great your son is back for his second year in Dallas—does he have a favorite class so far, or is it still mostly the basics? We always try to hit the moleben too; it really does make the first week feel less chaotic.

Our youngest started kindergarten too this year, and we kept the mopeben short so he wouldn't wiggle too much. Those blues on the Archangel Michael really do stick in your mind, don't they? Say hi to Matthew for me as well.

Our middle one is heading into third grade too—nerves and all. The blue on that Archangel Michael panel always catches me first as well. Say hi to Matthew for me at coffee hour if you beat me there.

My son mentioned his patristics seminar is already his favorite this semester—says it beats the intro Old Testament stuff from last year. Glad your niece is diving deep into the Fathers too. Does she have a particular saint or writer she's stuck on right now?
