Gen.8:1–3. “And the waters ceased, and the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were laid bare.” Instead of “sources were exposed,” everyone translated “closed” and “sealed.” And instead of what follows: “The waters on the earth slowed down” and other things, it is written: “And the waters from the earth returned down, flowing out and returning” (Eccl. 1:7). Note that according to Ecclesiastes, all waters and streams return to the womb of the abyss through hidden underground channels. Gen.8:6–7. “After 40 days, Noah opened the door of the ark that he had made and sent out a raven, and it flew away and did not return to him until the earth was dry of water.” Instead of “door,” the Hebrew text says “hole.” And about the raven it is said differently: “The raven released, and he flew away, flying away and returning until the earth was dry of water.”
