Eph.5:1. Be imitators of God, Eph.5:5. Eph.5:14. Therefore it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will illuminate you.” This means: arise from the sleep of sin and rise from the dead, that is, from mortal deeds, and Christ will illuminate you for the sake of good and wonderful deeds (yours). Just as the love of the Church is a matter of the heart, and not of appearance (outward, or face), so let a wife love her husband - and just as the Church has no other Christ instead of the (True) Christ, so let a wife have no other husband instead of her (legitimate) husband. Equally Eph.5:25. Let husbands love their wives... just as Christ loved His Church: for if he loves her and cares about her, then this true love cannot be changed for anything else. Marriage among saints (Christians) The Apostle performed Eph.5:32. the mystery of Christ and... the Church, that is: as true love, established from Adam to our Lord, this love was the sacrament of the perfect love of our Lord.
