The priests took Canaanite wives and committed adultery with their wives. The abandoned wives came to the sanctuary and shed tears there. Therefore, the priest, denouncing such deeds of men, said that this last deed of yours covered the house of the Lord with tears. Mal.2:15. Isn't there just one husband? Wasn’t he the only one who asked God for seed? . This is Abraham, from whom others came through Isaac, whose seed he asked God for, and which was given to him. Preserve in your spirit the wives of your youth, and do not forsake them.
