The Father cried out: This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; listen to Him (Matthew 17:5), - he cried out about the Son, inseparable from the glory of the Divine. For the Father and the Son with the Holy Spirit are one nature, one power, one essence and one kingdom. And Mary the Mother of God called Him Son after his human body, not separated from the glory of His Divinity. For one is God, who appeared in the world in a body. His glory proclaimed the Divine nature, which is from the Father, and His body proclaimed the human nature, which is from Mary; both natures came together and united in a single hypostasis. The only begotten of the Father, the same is the only begotten of Mary. And whoever shares the hypostases in Him will be separated from His Kingdom, and whoever merges the natures will be deprived of His life. Whoever denies that Mary gave birth to God will not see the glory of His Divinity, and whoever denies that He bore sinless flesh will not receive the salvation and life given through His body. His very deeds testify and His Divine powers teach the discerning that He is the True God. And His suffering shows that He is a true Man. Send down grace, may it revive me, as in the spring everything is revived by the breath of life! Good Lover of Humanity! If Your grace is poured out abundantly on the grass, on the flowers, on every greenery of the earth in its season, how much more will You give what you ask to Your servant who begs You! For now the air clears and the birds diversify their voices, singing the glory of Thy great wisdom. So the whole earth puts on a robe of speckled flowers, woven without human hands, rejoices and celebrates the holiday. Sprinkle the dew of Your grace on my heart, O Good Lover of Mankind! Just as the sown land, without the falling of sufficient rain, cannot give and nurture its growth, so my heart, without Your grace, is not able to bear what is pleasing to You and bear the fruit of righteousness. Behold, the rain nourishes the plants, and the trees are crowned with various flowers - and may the dew of Your grace enlighten my mind and may my heart be decorated with flowers of tenderness, humility, love and patience. May my prayer come closer to You, Lord! Grant me Thy holy seed, so that I can bring You hands full of good fruits, and say: “Glory to Him who gave what to bring Him,” and worship the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. About Guiding Grace and Tears Good Lover of Mankind, who accepted two mites and praised the will of the widow, accept the prayer of Thy servant, multiply my prayer and grant what I ask, so that I may become a church of Thy grace, may it dwell in me and may it itself teach me how to please it; herself, striking my harp, let her sing songs of tenderness, filled with joy; let my mind itself be bound, as it were, by a bridle, so that I may not sin before You by getting lost, and not be cast out from this light. Hear, Lord, hear my prayer and grant that I, the unclean, become pure, I, the fool, become wise, I, the indecent, become useful in the flock of Your chosen ascetics and all the saints who have pleased You, and be accepted into Your Kingdom. Those who rejoice in paradise themselves intercede for me and cry out to You, the One Lover of Mankind. And You attend to their prayer. And through them I will give You glory because You heard their prayers and showed mercy to me and did not despise my prayer. You, Lord, have said through Your prophet: Open your mouth, and I will fill them (Ps. 80:11). Behold, both the heart and the mouth of Thy servant are open; Fill them with Thy grace, so that I may continually bless You, O Christ God, my Savior. My prayer is weak, but my iniquities are great and strong. Sins oppress me, and my weaknesses trouble me; You are rich and good, merciful and generous. You, who opened the eyes of the blind, open the eyes of my mind, so that I may continually contemplate Your beauty. You, who set a limit to the sea by the word of Your command, set a limit to my heart by Your grace, so that it does not turn either to the right or to the left from Your beauty. You, who gave water in the desert to a rebellious and quarrelsome people, give me contrition and tears for my eyes to cry day and night throughout my life with humility, with love and with a pure heart. Hear, O Lord, the prayer of Thy servant through the intercession of all Thy saints, Who art blessed above all forever. Despite your sins, hear, drive away the enemy and strengthen you for good! God, Righteous and Praised, God Eternal! Hear the sinner at this hour! Listen to me, O God, listen in Your strength, not remembering the constant disobedience of my insignificance. Listen to me, Lord, listen to me with the fire of prayer, as Thy prophet once did. Hey, God of the Holy Powers! Hey, Creator of the ethereal! To her, He who said: Ask and you will receive (John 16:24), do not abhor me, unclean, defiled my lips and covered with sins! Listen to me, Thou who hast given the promise to listen to those who call upon Thee in righteousness, and direct the steps of Thy servant to the path of peace. To you, O God, I cry with all my heart: O God, God, hear me, the hope of all the ends of the earth and those who wander far! Rebuke all unclean spirits, so that they may flee from the face of Your servant. Take the weapon and the shield and rise to my aid. Take away your sword and make a stand against those who persecute me. Say, Lord, say to my soul: “I am your salvation.” May the spirit of fear, the spirit of despondency, the spirit of pride and all malice depart from my soul, may all kindling produced by the action of the devil be extinguished in it, may my spirit, soul and body be enlightened by the light of Your knowledge, and, having come into a perfect husband, in the measure of age, in the age of the century, with the Angels and with all those who have pleased You, I will glorify Your all-honorable and worshiped name - the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. On calming the conscience from inner turmoil Sovereign Lord! God of Heaven and earth! Kindly open the door of repentance for me, I beg You with my painful soul! Look upon me according to Your great compassion, incline Your ear to my prayer and forgive me, guilty of many sins, forgive me everything that I have done that is bad, overcome by my evil will. I seek peace and do not find it, because my conscience is defiled, and there is no peace in me due to the multitude of my iniquities. Hear, Lord, the heart that cries out to You with sickness! Not at my deeds, but at the illness of my soul, and hasten to heal me, who was cruelly wounded; Let me soon come to my senses through the grace of Your love for mankind. Remove the burden of my sins from me and do not repay me what I have done deserves, so that I do not completely perish and lose all care and thoughts about my correction. I fall before Your bounty, have mercy on me, by condemning my deeds, cast into the dust. Call, O Master, to me, a captive who is held and bound, as it were, by chains, for You alone know how to loose the bound and heal invisible wounds known to You alone, who knows the secret. Deign to stretch out your hand to me and pull me out of the mire of my iniquities - You, who do not rejoice in human destruction and do not turn Your face away from those who cry to You with tears. Hear, O Lord, the voice of Your servant crying out to You, reveal Your face to me, darkened, enlighten me with the coming of Your Holy Spirit! Grant, Lord, zeal to me, defiled, and turn my labor into joy for me. Tear off my sackcloth and gird me with joy, and may the door of Your Kingdom be opened to me, so that, having entered into it, I will glorify Your all-holy name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. On free passage of ordeals and pardon at the Court I magnify You, O Lord, that You looked upon my humility and did not deliver me into the hands of my enemies and saved my soul from need. And now, Master, may Thy hand cover me and may Thy mercy come upon me, for my soul is confused and greatly grieves, so that when leaving this poor body, the wicked hand of the enemy will not meet it and hold it in darkness for the sins I have committed in this life, in knowledge and ignorance. Be merciful to me, Lord of all, may my soul not see the darkened gaze of wicked demons, but may Your pure and bright Angels receive it. Give glory to Your holy name and by Your power lead me to Your Divine Throne! And when I am judged, may the hand of the prince of this world not seize me and drag me, a sinner, into the depths of hell. But You appear to me and be my Intercessor. Have mercy, O Lord, on my soul, defiled by the passions of this life, and if, as a man, due to the weakness of nature, I have sinned in word, or deed, or thought - You, who have the power to forgive sins, forgive and release me, so that I may find coolness and appear before You without uncleanness or defilement and blameless, unblamed, may Your hand accept me, O Lord, for you are blessed forever. Go with repentance, the Lord is ready to accept You, Who are pleased with the repentant, are also pleased with me, a sinner. Satisfy me with grains from Your great table, do not allow my life to perish in the deep darkness, 3 and may Your truth not look upon the terrible uncleanness of my misery on that great morning, on which the eternal sentence will be pronounced. The joy of this world is bitter, woe to him who is deceived by it! Like a ship with waves, my life is overwhelmed by disasters, vain joy captivates it with the spectacle of pleasures. Be my helmsman and bring my ship into your pier on that great morning of yours, on which eternal judgment will be pronounced. God loves a sinner when he begins to repent and with eyes full of tears, sighing and sobbing, calls out to Him: “Our Lord, deliver me from the fire! I pray to You, accept the tears of my misery. I sinned against You voluntarily, but I repent voluntarily.” So, boldly approach, sinner: the door is already open and ready to receive you. Sacrifice your tears to the Lord and go freely to Him. He does not require gifts, and He has no vision of faces. He is merciful to people and willingly forgives the sins of sinners who repent. Blessed is the man who has the fear of God in himself, as the Holy Spirit pleases him, saying: Blessed is the man who fears the Lord (Ps. 112:1). Blessed is the man in whom there is the love of God, for he carries God within himself. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God (1 John 4:16). Blessed is he who has acquired long-suffering, for a patient man has much understanding (Prov. 14:29). Blessed is he who is alien to anger and irritability: The wrath of man does not create the righteousness of God (James 1:20). Blessed is he who loves meekness, according to the word of the Lord: Blessed are the meek (Matthew 5:5). Blessed is he who has acquired true obedience, for such a one has become an imitator of the Lord Savior, Who was obedient even to death. Blessed is he who is a stranger to envy and rivalry, for through envy... death entered the world (Wis. 2:24). Blessed is he who does not defile his tongue with slander, for the heart of a slanderer is full of all kinds of defilement. Blessed is he who has acquired abstinence, because it is the support of all virtues. Blessed is he who does good to the poor, for at the Judgment he will meet many defenders. Blessed is he who, in a high life, has a humble way of thinking: he imitates Christ and will sit with Him in glory. Blessed is he who forces himself to do every good work, for those who use force delight in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 11:12). Blessed is he who walks on the narrow way, for he will enter heaven as a crowned man. Blessed are all these, for they will then boldly appear before the Judge and receive the holy reward from His hands. Sufficient quantity. – Note. ed.
