“I consider it my duty to inform you about the healing received at the tomb of the memorable priest, Father John of Kronstadt. For about nine years I had a growth on my right hand near my hand (a large tumor0, but without pain. At the beginning of 1909, 9 years later, another tumor formed, next to the first, but larger than it, and already painful. I could not take anything heavy and, if I took anything, everything fell out of my hands. My hand was in this position for about two weeks, and I was afraid that it would remain like that; but a simple woman who lived in our house at that time began to advise me to anoint my hand with oil from the tomb of my dear priest, saying: “You believe in Father John, why don’t you anoint it?” Indeed, I believed in him that with his holy prayer he could heal the disease, I also believed in his insight. Thinking this way, she took the oil, crossed herself and said: Lord, not for my sinner’s sake, but for the sake of dear Father Father John, his holy works and holy prayers for us sinners, heal me too. On the very first day after I anointed my hand with oil, my swelling decreased, I was happy and anointed it again, and again - for the better; On the third day I anointed it, I looked in the morning - there is not a single tumor, even the one that was there for 9 years. God bless! Glory and thanksgiving to the intercessor and prayer book, dear Father John, who does not leave us sinners even after his blessed death. Not knowing who to turn to at the monastery and tell, I have been silent until now, but now I decided to write, because I consider it a sin to remain silent any longer, fearing that something worse might happen to me.
