On the prohibition of marriages of Orthodox Christians with heretics.
Yes, neither an Orthodox man is allowed to marry a heretic woman, nor an Orthodox woman to marry a heretic man, and if it turns out that someone has done something similar, then the marriage must be considered invalid and the lawless cohabitation must be dissolved, for one should not confuse the unmixable and combine the wolf with the sheep and the lot of sinners with the part of Christ. If anyone transgresses what we have determined, let him be excommunicated. But if some, while still in unbelief and not being counted among the Orthodox flock, were united with each other in legal marriage, then one, having chosen the good, resorted to the light of truth, while the other chose to be bound by the bonds of error rather than direct his gaze to the divine rays (and the unbeliever agrees to live with the believer or, conversely, the unbeliever with the believer), let them not be separated, according to the words of the divine Apostle: For an unbelieving husband is sanctified by a believing wife, and an unbelieving wife is sanctified by a believing husband (1 Cor. 7:14).
