Правило 7

Since we have learned that in some churches deacons have church positions and because of this, some of them, out of impudence and self-will, sit above the presbyters, we determine that a deacon, even if he has a rank, that is, holds any church position, should not sit above the presbyter, unless, representing the person of his patriarch or metropolitan, he arrives in another city on some business. Then he, as the one occupying that place, will be honored. If anyone dares to achieve this by using violence, then after being demoted from his rank, let him be the last of all in the rank to which he is ranked in his Church. Our Lord admonishes us not to rejoice in first places, according to the teaching proposed by the holy Evangelist Luke on behalf of our Lord and God Himself. He spoke the following parable to those invited: When you are invited by someone to a marriage, do not sit in the first place, so that one of those invited does not happen to be more honorable than you, and the one who invited you and him comes up and says to you: give him your place; and then with shame you will have to take the last place. But when you are called, sit in the last place, so that the one who called you will come up and say: friend! sit higher; Then you will be honored before those who sit with you, for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted (Luke 14:7-11).

Let the same be observed regarding other sacred ranks, because we know that spiritual ranks are superior to worldly ones.
