That the wife of the person being appointed bishop must, by prior consent, enter a monastery remote from the place of service of her husband.
The wife of the one being elevated to the episcopal see, having previously separated from her husband by common consent, after his consecration as a bishop, let her enter a monastery built far from the place of residence of this bishop, and remain in the care of the bishop. If she turns out to be worthy, then let her be elevated to the dignity of deaconess.

Ἡ τοῦ πρὸς ἐπισκοπῇς προεδρίαν ἀναγομένου γυνή, κατὰ κοινὴν συμφωνίαν τοῦ οἰκείου ἀνδρὸς προδιαζευχθεῖσα, μετὰ τὴν ἐπ᾿ αὐτῷ τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς χειροτονίαν, ἐν μοναστηρίῳ εἰσίτω, πόῤῥω τῆς τοῦ ἐπισκόπου καταγωγῆς ᾠκοδομημένῳ, καὶ τῆς ἐκ τοῦ ἐπισκόπου προνοίας ἀπολαυέτω· εἰ δὲ καὶ ἀξία φανείη, καὶ πρὸς τὸ τῆς διακονίας ἀναβιβαζέσθω ἀξίωμα.
