On the prohibition of simony and the ejection not only of the one who in this way reached any hierarchical degree, but also of the one who appointed him
We command that bishops and any clergy who are ordained for money, and not after testing and election for their way of life, be deposed, as well as those who ordained them.

Τοὺς ἐπὶ χρήμασι χειροτονουμένους, εἴτε ἐπισκόπους, ἢ οἱουσδήποτε κληρικούς, καὶ οὐ κατὰ δοκιμασίαν, καὶ τοῦ βίου αἵρεσιν, καθαιρεῖσθαι προστάσσομεν· ἀλλὰ καὶ τοὺς χειροτονήσαντας.
