On the acceptance of the Navatians into the Church.
Regarding those who once called themselves pure, but who join the Catholic and Apostolic Church, the holy and great Council decided that after laying hands on them they should remain in the clergy. But first of all, they must confess in writing that they agree with the dogmas of the Catholic and Apostolic Church and will follow them, that is, they will be in communion with both the second-weds and those who fell during the persecution, for whom both the time has been established and the term has been appointed, so that they will follow the dogmas of the Catholic Church in everything. So, where - in villages or cities - all those in the clergy find themselves ordained only from them, let them remain in the same rank. If some join where there is a bishop of the Catholic Church, then it is clear that the bishop of the Church will have episcopal dignity, and the one who is called a bishop among the so-called pure will have presbyteral honor, unless the bishop wants him to participate in the honor of the name of the bishop. If this is not pleasing to him, let him find a place for him, either a chorebishop or a presbyter, so that it can be seen in everything that he is a member of the clergy, but so that there are not two bishops in the city.

Περὶ τῶν ὀνομαζόντων μὲν ἑαυτοὺς Καθαρούς ποτε, προσερχομένων δὲ τῇ καθολικῇ καὶ ἀποστολικὴ ἐκκλησία, ἔδοξε τῇ ἁγίᾳ καὶ μεγάλῃ συνόδῳ, ὥστε χειροθετουμένους αὐτούς, μένειν οὕτως ἐν τῷ κλήρῳ.
