It is necessary to petition the state authorities for the destruction of the remnants of idols that existed at that time in Africa.
It was pleasing to ask the most glorious emperors that by all means the remnants of idolatry should be destroyed: not only statues, but also everything that remained in any place, in groves or on trees.

Ὁμοίως ἤρεσεν αἰτηθῆναι ἀπὸ τῶν ἐνδοξοτάτων βασιλέων, ἵνα τὰ λείψανα τῆς εἰδωλολατρίας, μὴ μόνον τὰ ἐν ξοάνοις, ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν οἱοισδήποτε τόποις, ἢ ἄλσεσιν, ἢ δένδροις, παντὶ τρόπῳ ἐξαλειφθῶσι.[1]
